Dr. Köksal HAMZAOĞLU
He was born in 1970 in Sivas Şarkışla. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Şarkışla. He continued his education at Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine in 1987. His first duty station was Trabzon Maçka Central Health Center. He completed his military service in Samsun, Bolu and Diyarbakır. He served as Bingöl Provincial Health Director between 2005-2007. Then he worked as Deputy Chief Physician of Trabzon Fatih State Hospital and Deputy Provincial Health Director of Trabzon. He was the founding director of Trabzon Public Health Directorate during the establishment of the Public Health Agency of Turkey and Public Health Directorates. He continued his duty in the same position until the abolition of the Public Health Agency of Turkey and Public Health Directorates (2012-2017). Subsequently, he continued his duty as the Director of Public Health Services in Trabzon until October 20, 2023 (until his appointment as Deputy Director General of Public Health). He is also an active member and manager of many non-governmental organizations that operate for the public benefit. After completing his undergraduate studies in Public Administration and Sociology, he continues his associate degree in Theology.
