Asst. Prof. Muhammed Emin DEMİRKOL

Born in 1984 in Istanbul, he completed his primary and secondary education in Bolu and high school education in Istanbul.
In 2009, after graduating from Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, he started to work as a general practitioner in Gerede State Hospital Emergency Department.
In 2014, after completing his specialty training in Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, he worked as an Internal Medicine Specialist and Hospital Chief Physician in Bahçesaray District State Hospital in Van Province for 2 years.
After working as chief physician at Bolu İzzet Baysal State Hospital for 2 years, he was appointed as an academic staff as a Dr. Lecturer in Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine. He was appointed as an academic staff member. Between 2017 and 2023, he served as Bolu Provincial Health Directorate. In 2023, he received the title of Associate Professor.
DEMİRKOL, who started his duty as Director General of Public Health in September 2024, is married and has three children; He speaks English.
